Pros
The people that work at disorganization are some of the most genuine, open minded, kind, and fun people I’ve ever worked with. The mission of the organization that really aligns with me of creating more active global citizens and inspiring more peace and justice in the world. The network is so big! There are 59 Afs chapters in the world so if you’d like working with different cultures, you would get that nearly every day at Afs. Because it’s a nonprofit with small teams there’s a lot of opportunity to try out news things and build your skills.
Cons
Salaries are low, many people have a masters degree and are not earning what they should be. There is not a lot of room for advancement or promotions. Pretty common to hit a ceiling as a mid-level professional.
