    Pros

    3Q’s employee culture is nothing short of fantastic. From day 1, you will be surrounded by a supportive team who are there to help you through client difficulties, answer all your questions, and ensure that you are thoroughly challenged and satisfied at your job. There are wonderful employee parties and other ways that 3Q ensures that employees are enriched at work. From a professional standpoint, you will be... promoted on merit (not a specific time!) and managers are great at providing feedback and pushing your growth.

    Unfortunately, I found that 3Q had some of the common pitfalls of many other agencies - namely, the client being your real “manager”. 3Q has a “yes” culture in saying yes to what can be unrealistic client demands for the sake of client retention. Account managers and above are tacitly expected to be on-call for any issues that arise outside of regular business hours and are often scheduling meetings late in the... evening to accommodate different client time zones. People often work full days on holidays and holiday weekends during high season to ensure client expectations are met. Even on thanksgiving day, if the client emails with an urgent task, you are expected to respond. Given this expectation, there is no holiday bonus or any other reward for the additional hours worked (beyond the typical yearly bonus). This is definitely not unique to 3Q and symptomatic of many other agencies, but something that should be called out.

    Set clear boundaries with what is expected for after-hours responses - otherwise, clients will continue to walk all over 3Q with their demands.

    I worked at 3Q Digital full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Everyone’s experience is different at 3Q, it depends on which team you’re on and your manager. There are many perks, in-office events, training sessions and webinars, but depending on which team you’re on you may not be able to attend any of these. 3Q has a great PTO policy, however, you can barely use it. If you do you will often still have to work, answer slack email etc.

    Long hours and late nights are expected.
