    I worked at Empire Entertainment

    Pros

You get to be a part of some really cool events. Some of the people are really nice. It's a small work environment.

    Cons

Empire entertainment on the outset looks like a really fun work environment. Once you're in it, it feels more like a fraternity where one must be "hazed in."

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees at the bottom more. It shows a complete lack of valuing employees when they can't afford to live while they are working full time. Treat your interns better and don't string them along for a year or more. If they're good, offer them a job.

    Pros

You get a lot of hands-on training with pre and post production. Help produce a lot of amazing events. Paid well for an internship.

    Cons

The chance of getting hired is very slim unless you dedicate yourself to almost 2 years as a paid intern.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Empire Entertainment for less than a year

    Pros

A lot of exposure to the industry and upper management, everyone is extremely friendly and there's a great work environment. You get to do real things and the CEO/CFO are amazing people. The jobs you're asked to do fall in a wide range but you get to go on client meetings with the producers which is amazing and eye opening.

    Cons

Pitiful stipend, sometimes a little dull/boring work but nothing that you wouldn't expect. Sometimes a little stressful especially because there are a few people that can be somewhat intimidating but you get over it.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Empire Entertainment for less than a year

    Pros

Potential to work at some great events and meet very interesting people. Most co-workers are nice and approachable. Much can be learned from the CEO. Relaxed work environment. Great location. Well respected company in the industry.

    Cons

Work can get monotonous, especially in the slower seasons when events are outside of the city. Some of the senior people can be extremely unpleasant and pick favorites amongst the interns. To keep busy you basically have to constantly nag the producers for more work and often times you get stuck with updating and adding contacts to the database.

    Advice to Management

Train your staff better and expand from within. Pay your interns better.

    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Empire Entertainment

    Pros

Learn a lot from working with the Chief Creative Producer, do a lot of interesting kinds of work, get to dip your feet in many industries, work directly with clients at all levels, constantly challenged.

    Cons

Terrible company culture and dynamic, seems like two split companies in one, the CEO is an emotional, unfair, and money mongrel boss, some of the staff are cold, pay and bonuses are biased.
