      Pros

Can meet some nice colleagues. Ok work / life balance Excellent for HR employees, you'll never loose you job

      Cons

Lack of real innovation. Extremely long decision process and sometime even inexistant decision. Too many TOP management without vision, understanding or providing solutions.. Lots of upper management politics and back stabbing. Yearly "restructuration" and no loyalty to employees. Lack of real marketing, not only powerpoint presentation. Expensive products even with staff price.

      Pros

Benefits are ok, but are pretty expensive.

      Cons

Horribly mismanaged! This is the worst place I have ever worked. There is no work life balance, and employees are treated terribly. The upper management has no idea what they are doing and they are losing good employees because of it. They are running this plant in to the ground. The parking situation is also awful and they need to add more exits.

Wake up and get fresh talent and listen

      Pros

Current CEO understands our products and our place in the market. Good hard working people that really want to do a good job and see the company grow. Factories that work hard to support the coporate office expectations.

      Cons

Upper management has a warped sense that they are on the right path for the future of Electrolux. They do not listen to their retail customers that continue to tell us that we are slow to innovation. They believe the Directors, General Managers, VP's and Sr VP's and should be asking direct questions to their employees. Upper managers find a way to push the blame on past managers or other people instead of taking the blame themselves. What you are being told is not the real story.

      Kind, but weak

      Pros

      - Friendly atmosphere, nice people on the engineering level; - Plenty of free time due to weak management process - a great oportunity for self-learning; - Business travel opportunities.

      Cons

      - No corporate standards for working tool across the group. Poor IT organization, in general. Shipping software, but no testing deparments, etc; - Lack of strong leadership among the middle management; - Weak decision taking across the company; - A lot if inside politics, forcing the researches to do pointless work just to please the upper management; - Stale research departments. Research initiatives are not welcomed, many groups had left in the recent years; - Poor career opportunities; - International matrix organization with many inter-department communication issues.

      Pros

Great colleagues to work with. Good variety of tasks and projects. Good immediate management personnel. Slightly flexible hours. Work with people from all over the world, travel opportunities.

      Cons

Ever changing, inconsistent and vague directions from upper management. Lack of sound strategic decision making. Performance review system is applied haphazardly by line managers. Performance review system does not adequately support career development.

The company does not recognize the talent within the walls.

      Pros

Your coworkers make the day go by smoothly. Managers allow feedback within department.

      Cons

The company has a big problem with showing favoritism. There are so many managers that are not qualified and manage overqualified employees. So many people that are educated and experienced that get looked over. I understand the importance of hiring outside the company but look at your own people first. Another big problem is the lack of communication within the company. The company would save so much money if they were on one comprehensive system. The upper management also is not diverse. No room for growth.

      Electrolux Response

      Group HR

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Obviously each hiring situation is different, but all things being equal we always prefer to hire internally over externally. As you point out, this enables us to retain the knowledge and expertise of our employees and it also saves time, money and energy when it comes to getting someone up to speed in a new role--so it's a win/win. But so that we can follow up regarding the things you have mentioned, please consider taking the time to email and share more with us at the Group level at employee.experience@electrolux.com. As a side note: you mentioned that upper management is not diverse, but at least as that pertains to the Group, we have 7 different nationalities represented out of our 12 Group management members. This is quite diverse compared to other multinational companies, and we are very proud of this since it brings multiple perspectives and experiences that benefit the company as a whole. Thanks for your contribution to the company and best of luck in the future.
