I worked at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Office space, cafeteria amenities, equipment

    Cons

Many HR managers are former accounting managers and do not know anything about HR or people-centered approach to HR. They are finance-driven and take a traditional approach to HR where they act in the interest of the company's bottom line. Do not work here if you're looking for progressive HR programs or people who care about people. Recruiters are very good salespeople, different from the rest of the HR team, and tend to paint a pretty picture of the company, so don't be fooled. The Learning team also feels they're "separate" from the HR team and like to operate differently. Once you're in, you're going to want to find another job!! Also, they take money out of your paycheque for health benefits... so it's not a benefit, more of a service!!

    Advice to Management

Stop placing female accounting managers (who give up the partner track) into HR roles... they just want to keep their fat salary and do something "less stressful" and end up messing it up royally.

Very good opportunities working for high profile clients.
    Great training opportunities

    Cons

    Bullying and cult environment.
You have to suck up to make it to the top

Severe overtime of up to 60+ hours a week and no compensation in time of lieu or otherwise.

    Advice to Management

Bullying is not the way to get your employees to get the job done.
