    Pros

You get to work with mostly young people with similar views and they are super willing to help you learn.

    Cons

The expectations are really unrealistic and no one is really happy. I hate that they promote the designation to much but it takes 5 years of unhappiness to obtain. The busy season long hours and short time frames to complete projects clearly cause a lot of stress for most.

    Advice to Management

It isn't really their fault that this is the case at EY. It's just the structure and way of the business. All they can do is be supportive and realistic.

    Pros

Excellent mentorship/counseling program, good feedback system, I always felt like my manager was looking out for my best interests. Definitely a place where you can chart your own growth and make requests which will be taken seriously.

    Cons

Wasn't terribly fond of co-workers - many were nerdy, not as intelligent as I would expect in high ranking positions, or some were rude. Work life balance is often an issue.

    Advice to Management

Continue ensuring you hire the best and brightest - this is what the E&Y reputation consists of, but in some areas, I'm not sure it is true.

    Advice to Management

I worked at EY as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Part of a team, very nice employees and willing to share their knowledge with you and ready to help.

    Cons

At some points there were a lot of projects in the pipeline and there were two weeks that we had to wait and could not really do much. That was a shame, because I really enjoy being busy.

    Advice to Management

I worked at EY (More than a year)

    Pros

The people and culture at the firm are great. I personally did not like my experience with accounting as a field and therefore will not return full-time to the firm but if accounting is your thing, you can't do better than EY.

    Cons

In my experience as an intern I found that you don't get to see a whole lot of the real, staff level work you will do once you begin full-time. This makes it a bit hard to truly know if you want to work in accounting or not.

    Pros

Friendly staff, great Canary Wharf office

    Cons

Summer isn't busy season so not all the interns had much work to do

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work
