I have been working at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time for less than a year

    Pros

*Flexibility in setting your own hours (no more being 5 minutes late and getting in trouble) *Opportunity to pick up additional assignments if you want to work *It is a job doing what I like to do and getting paid for it

    Cons

*Only getting paid for how long they feel an assignment should take you. Like getting allotted 90 minutes and it ended up taking 180 minutes.... * Fluctuation in weekly hours *Not being trained properly

    Pros

Set your own schedule, be your own boss.

    Cons

District manager are so impersonal or at least my current one is. Even the retail outlet managers say she is RUDE. Also there have been several pay increases BUT NONE are retroactive. Stupid right! Why would you pay someone grwen more than a seasoned employee!

"Good job to get out of the house but not little more."

I have been working at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The job position is good for an individual that is a self starter and can work independently. The job position for the most part allows for a flexible schedule with representatives in a given regional area. The job position is a great opportunity to get outside of the house to have some income or supplemental income while searching for full-time work or better part-time work with more hours. One should not expect to rely upon Driveline Retail to become a primary employer to pay bills.

    Cons

Next to no training onsite or store level with the company in how to navigate what tasks need to be completed. The only training provided is from reading some portable document files (PDF) on their website and watching some videos. The company says that they will reimburse merchandisers for mileage from store to store but the mileage rate is a joke. The work tasks and hours for the company can vary from a few hours a week to an abundance to where one rep can't possible perform all the expected job tasks an duties within a store because the company doesn't properly train representatives. The upper management at company is so divorced from the reality of the city locations of the stores as well as the disarray of the store merchandise on the sales floor and back stock room within the stores.

I worked at Driveline Retail Merchandising part-time for less than a year

    Pros

you can set your own schedule..that's about it

    Cons

The communication is awful. Once you are fully hired it is hard to get a hold of anyone. Team Leads don't like to show up or communicate either causing you to lose out on money. If you aren't a team lead on a project you can't fill out the paperwork necessary to get paid. I never actual went to my job assignment for this reason. If you do work for the company make sure you just figure it out and train yourself... don't even bother working with others. This left a bad impression of the company. They should really have people that are there to specifically train on the spot for at least one project for the new people. Didn't even start and I'm already done. No wonder why there aren't any merchandisers in my area.
