Pros
I'm working with some of the smartest people of my career here. In just a few years we've built a category and created a brand with real recognition, which is pretty crazy and amazing. People genuinely like spending time together and take the time to get to know people. We have things like Marketing hackathons where we take a day just to come up with new ideas and people have the autonomy to actually execute on... them. We also have perks like free lunch every day, a sabbatical after 3 years off, Classpass discounts and more. It's really a chance of a lifetime to build your career here.
Show MoreCons
It's disappointing seeing people bash a company that is paying them and helping them build their resume in a way. There have definitely been growing pains but the difference is that people actually care and are doing things to correct issues.
Advice to Management
Ignore the haters.

Pros
- Amazing colleagues - you'll get to work with a supportive group of people that want to see you succeed. There is a real team dynamic here. I genuinely like my coworkers and enjoy working alongside them. - Benefits package - free lunch EVERY DAY, generous PTO, 4pm dismissal on Fridays, health, dental, etc. all great, sabbatical after 3 years, discounts on gym memberships, etc.. Office is also in a great location... in the Back Bay - The product - you will be working for a company that is on the cutting edge of what they're doing. - You get to experience the opportunity and excitement that goes along with a startup, but have the job security of an established company that is on it's way to an IPO. - Company is growing fast and it's a really exciting journey to be on. Great opportunities for growth internally if you are excelling in your current role.
Show MoreCons
- Fast moving, if that's not your speed you won't be happy here - Very transparent feedback culture, definitely not for everyone, but helps produce a high quality of work internally

Pros
Amazing leadership team with a vision and mindset to take Drift to levels most in the company have never seen before I am challenged in a good way. This is the hardest I have ever worked, and it's rewarding as hell. A brand that people know and love Collaboration across multiple parts of the org which is pretty rare at a 300 person company
Cons
The negative reviews and comments are getting old. I'm not sure what department these anonymous naysayers are in, but it's for them to get out. Drift is not like anything these reviews are stating. Management needs to do a better job at vetting out these pathetic scabs. Racist comments? Never heard them. Out of hand parties? Never seen them. Bro Culture? Not really! Do you think celebrating wins is a bro... culture? Go somewhere that you crush goals and no one celebrates...that would suck. Culture of Feedback? Yes, you will get feedback. You might not like it, but take the feedback like an adult.

Seriously, move these complainers out so the rest of us can celebrate in this racist, terrible, bro culture.

Back Bay location is great
Cons
With 10+ hour days , limited to no work from home, constant micro-management from the CEO and no standard yearly salary increases....no thanks! You're better off working somewhere else.

Well known company and customers love it Free company lunches and happy hours Sabbaticals after 3 years
Cons
Marketing and sales are practices here are cringe inducing and make you bow your head in shame. This ranges from fake staged protests at conferences to approaching groups of young women on the street to make sales videos with shock value - it's not professional B2B marketing; it's crude & trashy used car salesman or late night tv marketing. A lot of the big product moves are being ripped straight from the... Hubspot playbook. Not only are they constantly bashing the competition in these sales videos but then they are also imitating them every step of the way with meaningless conversation marketing certificates and the oh so glorious President 100's club. You'll be worked to the bone here with little to show for it since there are no raises or bonuses. Coworkers here have some of the biggest ego's you've ever seen and have no concept of teamwork. Nothing original here despite all the hype you are fed during the interview process. It's a generic tech bro startup with no upward mobility. You need to be the CEO's favorite to get ahead. Better off elsewhere for more money.

Pros
Dedicated and focused team Constant and evolving challenges Intelligent coworkers Great support (professionally and personally) Good people (courteous, fun to be around, care about the team & others) Amazing growth and learning opportunities Incredible management team who understand the business and how to build a pillar and enduring company
Cons
Some learning and changes come as a result of making mistakes. But we're constantly improving and evolving. But this is common to all startups (I've worked with and been involved with several).

Pros
What a great experience joining Drift. It comes with hard work, long hours and big expectations, but it gives you a platform to do the best work of your life. I have worked for many startups, and with each, I've grown and become a better me, but Drift took this to a whole new level. Drift taught me to not wait, the time is now, JUST SHIP IT, learn, and iterate fast. The energy created here is the driving force for... its success which creates a type of inertia needed for it. If you are someone with a passion for your career and want to be a part of something exciting than it can be a great match for you.
Show MoreCons
If you see hard work as a con then Drift is not for you. Drift is more than just a job, its a movement, where you can do big things in any role.
Advice to Management
Keep up that energy and try to keep it as authentic as possible as you grow. You have created a following which is pretty amazing. Listen to your teams and support their needs.

Pros
I've been at Drift for one year, and since starting this journey I've been continuously pushed outside of my comfort zone, provided unprecedented learning opportunities, and more than anything, I've been empowered to make Drift a better place. While it hasn't always been easy, it has been truly rewarding. Drift is going to push you to your limits, and the role/responsibilities you're hired for will likely look... and feel incredibly different in 6 months (or less!). I joined Drift knowing that in order to adapt and keep up with this rapidly evolving company, I'd have to personally and professionally develop at a rate equal to, or faster than the rate Drift was growing. Some will argue this is a con, but the daily learnings and skills I'm building and refining here will pay dividends at Drift and beyond. I'm humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this story.
Show MoreCons
You will at times feel out of comfort zone You will be expected to learn new skills faster than any other place you've worked You will at times, work long days You will hear a gong to celebrate wins on the sales floor You will see DC and Elias wearing nice clothes (god forbid) You will hear Sonos being played throughout the office
Advice to Management
Continue to push your employees to innovate, learn, and ship... Continue to promote from within

Pros
I'm honestly confused reading all of these negative reviews. All of the negativity you read about on here does not at all translate to the atmosphere you feel in the office, which is why I wanted to write this review in the first place. - the environment is very collaborative and motivating - everyone is clearly working together on a shared mission - co-workers are incredibly friendly and want to get to know... new hires - the pace is fast, but learning to break down my work into daily increments has been game-changing for me - the transparency is incredible - employees at any level get very in-depth insights into the health of the business and the org - you are challenged and pushed every single day, but that is where you grow and learn, right? - we celebrate our wins and talk about our failures openly and candidly - the product is adding a very clear value to our customers, revenue is growing - there are no signs of that or us slowing down (looking forward to the experience of being part of the IPO, eventually) - I haven't seen any crazy drinking - Camp Drift was a great event that brought a lot of us closer and other happy hours don't have a focus on drinking but on people connecting
Show MoreCons
Honestly, any 'cons' I might have been due to growing pains of any hypergrowth startup, but what makes Drift more unique than other startups is that the leadership team is opening to hearing and even asking for feedback and it's been awesome to see them make a lot of action on that feedback in the last 6ish months. Lots of positive changes and people are talking about them around the office!
Advice to Management
I always look at intent and it is clear to me that leadership has the right intentions and cares about the people and the company they are building - KEEP GOING!
