I worked at Disneyland Resort part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Sign in tickets for family and friends , free entry to park for yourself ! Discounts in park for food and merchandise. Meet tourist from all over the world. Great for customer service experience, cast members are generally happy all the time.

    Cons

Pay should be more, can be overwhelming at times with the amount of people that go to parks. Management needs to be consistent with the rules of position , favoritism is highly in this department.

I worked at Disneyland Resort part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I loved working with my fellow cast members. Most except for a few were very friendly and to this day even though I left the company I've maintained my friendships. They were also very helpful to each other and to newbies. At the time I was there we had 16 sign ins we could use to get friends and family in.

    Cons

The pay was just not enough to live on in socal. Scheduling was difficult. You have to go with what they give you and it's not easy to be able to schedule a second job around Disney schedule. The amount of verbal abuse from angry guests doesn't justify the pay. Eventually you become numb to it.

"Vacation Planner should be paid a fairer wage"

I worked at Disneyland Resort full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The cast members were nice to work with. Clean environment. Manager was very nice.

    Cons

The pay is at minimum wage. The training is extensive, heavily saturated with a high volume of different/random information regarding the operating systems, programs and processes. They give you 2 days for in booth training and to learn the entire system from open to close. The systems for different transactions often have you going in circles and back and forth which seem like a lot of unnecessary steps to accomplish one goal. Every aspect of this job from opening tasks to learning the many different kinds of transactions you will be handling, to the extensive and long winded closing process is intense. 2 days is not enough to learn all that is necessary to handle a slew of people on the third day at your window. For the amount of work and concentrated, tedious tasks to perform around the clock, the pay is entirely inadequate or fair in my opinion.

I worked at Disneyland Resort full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Making friends. Meeting people from around the world. Getting into Disneyland for free and sometimes taking people with you. Discounts on food and merchandise.

    Cons

Getting yelled at constantly by tourists. Managers don’t back you up. People are very cliquey. Hours can be either super early or super late. No consistency for shift times.

I worked at Disneyland Resort part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Can be fun, you get to bring your friends to Disneyland for free.

    Cons

Their pay is horrible $10.50/hr, You have a lot of responsibility as a vacation planner and you get paid the same as someone who stands there greeting people. You do not have the opportunity to move up until you have been there for one year. They do not follow your requests concerning availability and time off requests.

I worked at Disneyland Resort part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I really enjoyed working at Disneyland. Guest interactions were always different. I love kids so working around them and making someone's day was an amazing experience. Great Co-workers Very Active Constant Change of scenery

    Cons

I didn't have any issues until we started the Holiday season. I wasn't allowed to change my schedule at all. I couldn't give hours or pick up any. Sometimes I'd only get 2 days since I was part time. Hours! Pay very low Flexibility

I have been working at Disneyland Resort

    Pros

The Benefits are ample. The environment is fun most of the time. I have met wonderful hard working people. If you just want to be a foot soldier and earn a paycheck, Disneyland has many job categories from which to choose

    Cons

Managers without higher education, whose only job has been Disney. They are inbred and like the military. Do not seem open to experience gained anywhere except Disney.
