    Pros

Work in the glorious world of Canadian TV and Film.

    Cons

If you love long hours (60 hour week is the NORM), large, hierarchical organizations that run on stress and creative indecisiveness, while working in outdated warehouse offices (hey it's temp and the producers got a deal), Go find a DGC job. If you value your personal life, health and sanity, find a normal workplace.

    Pros

Often fairly laid back work environment, low dues, cool people to work with most of the time. Get to work on some cool productions.

    Cons

As an association the guild doesn't do much to help develop talented individuals that are working hard and long hours in stressful conditions.
