      Terrible Company

      Pros

Sometimes there are bonuses if you meet the impossible sales goals.

      Cons

Impossible to meet sales goals. Really poor benefits and wages. No work-life balance. Upper management is on a power-trip. HR Rep is rude and doesn't care. No opportunity for growth. Training is long and boring.

Solid company - 5+ year employee review

      Pros

Have been here over 5 years and it's done very well for me. Was able to move from a basic inbound sales job and have had 3 pay grade promotions along with yearly salary increases. If you don't mind doing the same thing all day long inbound sales or customer service may be for you.

      Cons

Very sales focused on the sales floor. Some disconnect between what upper management wants versus how it goes for sales reps and customer service reps. Not flexible at all with emergencies as they use a point system for absences.

Out of control as the company still struggles to determine direction.

      Pros

Good salary, benefits and and some good people.

      Cons

Lack of company purpose and brand creates misguided direction by leadership. Upper management frantic to keep their jobs. Always emergency status where teams drop everything and put all focus on a pet project yet still try to maintain current project deadlines. Chaos, confusion and a toxic environment. To much time required documenting and protecting self in this (CYA) environment. Some unethical business practices. It's time to clean house.

Exciting time for Deluxe and it was fun being there

      Pros

They are expanding into a lot of new areas (as the check industry is slowing declining), so there are lot of new opportunities that never existed before in Deluxe. In recruiting, there is a Talent Community Manager, and she is helping us use social media and videos for recruiting...something not a lot of companies are doing now. Because of this, we are mentioned in articles and conferences for recruiters.

      Cons

At times you see clashes between the old way and the new. Like all changes, there are always some who resist it. Sometimes I just don't understand why things are being done the way they are...it is like to a certain degree the "old ways" are being protected or allowed to exist longer than they should be by upper management. In some areas, the system is broken...and yet there is hesitation to do what is needed.

      Know what you're getting into

      Jun 10, 2010 -

      Pros

Good solid health benefits, decent 401K set-up. On-site department managers for the most part were helpful and encouraging. The people made the division. Shifts banded together to form a cohesive working environment. Time off was earned and some could be carried over to the next year to accumulate.

      Cons

Upper management had no real feel for the vagaries of the flow of work. They want to force all the newly acquired (in the black) companies into following their old business models that led to them filing for bankruptcy before trying to buy their way out of it. Management tended toward cliques and did not move to integrate the three shifts into working together. There was a feeling of First Shift Clique and Everyone Else. Plant closing announcements were suddenly thrust upon the workers with no warning.

Psprint- one of the Deluxe companies

Apr 8, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in Oakland, CA

      Pros

Some of the employees are nice but they often get wise and move on. The loyal ones try to stick it out through all the abuse until they crack and quit, despite not having landed another job yet.

      Cons

I STRONGLY encourage anyone considering work at Psprint to read their company reviews on Glassdoor. Psprint is the worst company imaginable to work for. It is a soul sucking place no matter which dept. you work in, with zero opportunity for advancement or raise. Employees are treated very poorly. Don't take my word for it- if go for an interview observe the tense environment and tale note of the miserable faces you pass by. Only the upper management fares well. The neighborhood is also really sketchy- there are break-ins, car and property thefts, muggings, and body dumps. Someone was once shot in the morning and dragged themselves our front entrance. An employee helped them inside to escape further shots and called 911. They were criticized for having brought them onto our property. Sure, I understand the 'legal risk' but think of the alternative.Yet another example of company vs human interest.

Deluxe Rewards was good- but now a failing business

      Pros

The people and atmosphere were amazing- until all of a sudden it wasn't. Pay is decent. Benefits were awesome.

      Cons

Every 2 months there is a major strategy change. Pick a strategy and see it through. If you can't keep clients, sign on new ones or grow the business something is majorly wrong. Upper management thinks they are amazing but since they took over the reigns the only thing to show is a failing business with no growth in site. Not something I would be proud of or a company I would want to join. No positions are being backfilled and they are hoping for natural attrition to avoid layoffs.

Time to get serious about the problems

Jun 29, 2013 - Product Development in Shoreview, MN

      Business Outlook

      Pros

-Some hard-working, smart, co-workers - Pay range is higher than at comparable positions with other companies

      Cons

The corporate culture values inclusion, consensus and relationships above all. The result is an overload of meetings with scores of people involved in making even minor decisions. Those who speak truth to power do so at their own peril. If you are able to compliment the Emperor on his new clothes and focus on building strong relationships with upper management, rather than focusing on achieving the true growth and change that is needed to turn this company around, you will be personally successful.
