    very good place to work, with work / life balance is somthing they look at as an important

    Cons

    as the company has a small presence here in canada, there is not much growth room within the company. although you can always work for other offices, there is a bigger operation in the US

    Advice to Management

    favoritism is not sexy!!!

    Ability to move across different locations via internal job positings

    Cons

    Did not seem to really care about the new employeees

    Advice to Management

    Employees are an asset. This is not always evident in your HR protocols.

    Pros

    Is an international enterprise in a challenging environment. I have met there many smart people and have received a lot of opportunities to grow.

    Cons

    Is a very big company in an over-regulated environment (banking). To make things moving takes time, persuasion and patience. Many restructuring, the workload on the individuals is high.

    Advice to Management

    Think more about downstream implications on people.

    Good global exposure and extensive client base among institutional investors, good peer group, good benefits plan, private bank is a great asset to leverage

    Cons

    Cyclical investment bank buzz outlook and low business in down turn, really bad bonus package, need more brand marketing like other peer banks

    Think long term not short term

    Pros

    All senior managemtn is accessible and will help those who ask and striving to excel. Business managers have a forward thinking approach and are very flexible to try new and innovative approaches to business development.

    Cons

    Market perception and re-organizations take time. Legacy support teams/people operate extremely inefficiently and can impede progress of new direction and businesses.

    Advice to Management

    New directions and hires are in place. Progress is good. but overall need more communication between people on the desk, business managers, to bank managers to ensure resources are in place to service clients at the highest level.
