I have been working at Crate and Barrel part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible scheduling - As a student and as someone who takes care of my younger siblings, I find that they are very understanding of my personal scheduling needs and are flexible. Good team support and help from everyone if you are new to the retail environment. Great training program after orientation - by my third shift I felt comfortable and confident enough to get by.

    Cons

Orientation could be a bit more helpful if it was 2 days instead of 1 intense day.

I have been working at Crate and Barrel part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    – Great coworkers – Good Company Values

    Cons

    – Compensation does not properly reflect the excessive responsibility. – Management is not your friend. They are hard to work/communicate with. – Low chance of mobility within the company – Quick to penalize you for minor mistakes that could be sorted through discussion – Not flexible while requiring you to be extremely flexible. – You will definitely feel like 2nd rate employee as a Merch associate v. sales, customer service etc.
