Pros
The health benefits package is very good
Cons
Ignorance that Canada and the US are two different countries with different laws . The People dept (HR) in the US made the Canadian representative for Canada, whom was from Spain and did not realize we are different. The exit package terminology was geared towards the US employees and not Canada. We are 2 different countries. I had to ask that the exit package be change to reflect Canadian law.
Continue readingThank you for your feedback. The company understands that US and Canada are different countries, with different laws and cultures. We have ensured that our documentation reflects such differences.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
All the tools are provided, company car, laptop, ipad and samples
Cons
No authority or leeway to address problems and issues in the field, too many warranty claims to keep track of and half of them are rejected in Spain over technicalities. You'll spend hours a day entering data in Salesforce and reciting company culture. It's not a sales position by any means, It's data entry and sample clean up.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Amazing marketing and surface products
Cons
Management doesn't understand the commercial market, you mention what you experience in the field and nothing gets done. Huge disconnect from NA and Spain. They want everything thing to be streamlined but that's not possible for the major markets.

Pros
Can be a great place to work, depending on the day and the co-workers and supervisors you have
Cons
Answering to remote leadership (Spain), micromanagement, morale can drop so fast

Talent Acquisition Manager
Thank you for sharing your feedback. As part of Cosentino's culture, it actively promotes team collaboration within all departments and locations, at a global scale. Cosentino is a family-owned company, that is constantly growing and innovating in order to continue being the leaders in our industry. We will take you comments into consideration.
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Paid sick and vacation time. When the Spaniards leave for there 1 month vacation in the Summer, you can actually get some work accomplished.
Cons
This a family owned company which promotes a meritocracy. Which means no room for growth unless you are tight with the family or you brown noise your way to a position your not qualified for. HR is in complete shambles. The turnover in the department is very high. DPO's (Bonuses) are not always paid in full and there is always an excuse as to why things are not paid out. The HQ in Spain is always requesting meaningless projects to make themselves look like they are accomplishing something. They also look for puppets on the management level. They want “yes” men. If you are combative or disagree in any way, you are treated unfairly. This will lead Cosentino to a stagnate future. Innovation is born from people with outside the box ideas.

Company Representative
Thank you for your feedback. Cosentino is an equal opportunity employer who does not favor one nationality over another. In fact, it encourages diversity worldwide. Cosentino values its employees and their roles, no matter what location they are working at, and encourages their growth within the company. Further, innovation is one of Cosentino's values. Employees are encouraged to offer ideas on how to make the company (and its employees) more successful.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
The United States Corporate Office is in Sugar Land Town Center. Plenty of places for lunch. 3% 401k match.
Cons
The Spaniards have taken over! They brought a few over from the International Corporate office in Spain and they were only supposed to be there a short time. Not the case!!! And if you were part of the original family or worked there 5 years ago, it's very unlikely you still work there. High turnover as well.

- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Great staff, a handful of managers willing and able to assist in any way needed. VP's are approachable and helpful, although over loaded.
Cons
Far too many managers have absolutely no clue about SOPs or how their staff completes daily tasks or reaches weekly goals. Complete lack of training for any position applied for, so applicants better actually know how to do the job they're applying for. The training you'll receive here will only be about the history of the Cosentino family and how they came to be successful in the stone industry. If you're lucky you'll get one of the managers I mentioned in the pros that can train you on our "dna" and the specific proccesses needed to be successful at your job. Most of the management here cannot or will not help you with anything. We're told over and over again that "our people are our greatest assets", but other than food, we never see that. No raises, no room for real growth unless you are relocated from Spain, or are of some Spanish decent. Also every employee here is doing the work of 3 people daily, and most days working long hours into the night, without OT. If you work here longer than two years without being fired, it's a miracle. Those who work the hardest are never appreciated and are usually the first ones to get cut. While those who do nothing but walk around visiting, starting rumors, and texting on their phones are revered. HR is a joke, and will not assist you with anything, unless it's gossip. Even the board meetings are all about gossip.

Pros
The office in Sugar Land is very nice and in a great area.
Cons
Poor management. If you are not from Spain or know one of the family members, you will not succeed.
Continue reading - Current Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Location is the only Pro
Cons
No room for growth, no recognition for hard work, you are constantly over ruled on decision by the office in Spain, everyone tries to be there own manager
