Okay for right outside of college for experience.

      Pros

You get to work in a gym and have the opportunity to coach.

      Cons

Very micro-managey. PTO isn't really yours; if you can't find someone to cover your shift, you have to be there or get penalized for it. Same for when you're sick. If you can't find someone to cover, you're expected to be there. IDK if COVID has changed that, but that was a rule before.

      Pros

Remote work. No micromanaging from Supervisors. They support creativity for exercise programming.

      Cons

They were new at the remote working model and sometimes I felt forgotten.

Good benefits, but terrible pay for the work completed

      Pros

Vacation time was amazing! Some of the best vacation time I've heard of, right from the start of working full time. They also had good heath benefits, as of when I was last employed there. Not super expensive, multiple options, and good coverage for the cost.

      Cons

There is no room for growth. The pay is ridiculous. With as much as they expect of you, outside of your daily tasks of running a fitness center, creating incentive programs and teaching classes, they also have you do meaningless busy work they they deem "important" as part of the "culture". I was severely taken advantage of financially for this position and especially with the title manager and actually managing a fitness center. They have supervisors that aren't on sight and they make more money than those who actually show up to the fitness centers day in and day out. They also seemingly do nothing of benefit. I did my job just fine without help or support of my supervisor. Not only is your salary inadequate, the perks they offer to the client, don't benefit you. ie. CFW employees can do personal training at their facility to their members, but the trainer themselves gets 40% while CFW gets 60% and they literally do absolutely nothing in that process other than offer pricing breakdowns, and umbrella insurance to every employee (typically already necessary to have with teaching classes).

Great company, with room for growth

Mar 30, 2021 - Health Fitness Program Manager

      Pros

Company provides a lot of resources, including your Account Manager, to aid in serving your client on-site with success

      Cons

Lower industry pay, lack of room for growth. It's also a bit hard to be engaged with the company overall, as you are mainly in contact with your client.
