I have been working at Conversant full-time

    Pros

Fun, intelligent, great people surrounding you everyday! It has the buzz and energy of a startup with the resources of a very well established organization.

    Cons

There are definitely some corporate policies in place that can make life difficult.

I have been working at Conversant full-time for less than a year

    Cons

People on bad teams look miserable HR is not your friend and never will be

    Advice to Management

Some arguably unethical practices going on that you should look into

I have been working at Conversant full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work with great people - work hard play hard. Social committee is active.

    Cons

I've been here less than 2 years and seen 6 HR people disappear with no explanation. Leadership team is a group of bullies who get off on making women cry in team meetings. No female representation in leadership or engineering.

    Advice to Management

Try to lead by inspiring and motivation. Bullying will only get you so far. Why do you think so much great talent is leaving to go to competitors? Someone please do something about the culture of fear and intimidation here.

I worked at Conversant full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Had an awesome time working for them. Overall Great company and great people. People are why people stay there.

    Cons

Downsides of working here is the pay isn't great. Could be much more competitive for their industry.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on keeping on.

    I worked at Conversant full-time

    Pros

This is a very innovative and creative place to work. New and out of the box ideas are encouraged. Great people to work with and many smart people make going to work everyday a joy.

    Cons

Senior Management seems to get in the way of business progress - weighing down innovation with process. The company has historically not valued their people in accordance with market norms.

    Advice to Management

Value your best people better. Turning over entire teams due to poor compensation should be a rude awakening.

I worked at Conversant full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great people working together towards the same goal. Interesting clients and an interesting product offering. Hours are somewhat flexible which is a requirement for me.

    Cons

Product is complicated so the learning curve is long. San Francisco is a satellite office. Most of the team is in Chicago, and it's easy to feel like an afterthought. Way too many meetings. Feels very corporate compared to other SF companies.

    Advice to Management

Cut back on meetings as much as possible so that your teams have time to do their jobs. Be clear about expectations and over-communicate with your employees.
