      Pros

Grateful that Compassion is growing its capabilities and expanding its reach to holistically serve children and their families who are living in poverty, especially in this COVID season. In the United State and other developed countries, vaccines are starting to save many lives and many see light at the end of the tunnel. In the developing world, the suffering continues on top of the already painful circumstances that come with poverty. Keep working to reach more!

      Cons

More people need to know about Compassion and how its strategy is discipleship through local church partnerships.

      Compassion International Response

      Compassion International

Thank you for your comments and thank you for your 5+ years of service to Compassion’s ministry of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. We do have to disagree with you on one point. Compassion is both a ministry AND a business. The balance of making smart business decisions and building a ministry that is close to our hearts is always a delicate one but it is what God has called us to do, in order to be good stewards of His handiwork. Sometimes that means making difficult business decisions for the sake of accomplishing His ministry. Please know our leaders approach every decision with these thoughts in mind. We also believe God calls His people into specific ministries—some for a season, some for a lifetime—just as we believe He called you to Compassion for the years you served. For that, we are grateful. Thank you again for your service to children in poverty!
