You make almost 40K a year from 1 student, and the school keeps growing and growing in population, but are unable to pay staff barely more than a minimum wage? If you want your staff to provide excellent customer service to students, how...

I worked at Columbia International College full-time for more than 4 years

          Pros

Many wonderful students from all over the world

          Cons

Very low pay, overworked, micromanaged, reactionary culture of fear, no growth opportunity, high turnover. Students are treated like clients, staff are treated like dirt.

          Advice to Management

Invest in your people - they are your most valuable asset. Stop reacting and start being proactive. Treat your staff with the "total care" that you expect them to show to students.
