Lack of Leadership & Transparency

Pros

Fully remote work environment with almost no possibility of return to office (don't have physical offices).

Cons

The leadership team at this company do not know how to lead. They hypocritically preach about values like openness, transparency, and collaboration, while consistently doing the opposite to boost their own egos. Instead of offering constructive feedback, they lay off folks abruptly without any prior warning. Decision-making is confined to their echo chamber, shutting out any dissenting voices. Those who express concerns about the company's direction are met with disdain and hostility. Furthermore, the quality of leaders vary greatly across teams. Some leaders blatantly disregard the well-being of the employees, never acknowledging issues like burnout and low morale, and never offering support or solutions for improvement.

Efficient culture, great people

Pros

Overall a great start up to work at: a few leadership members stand out as they are genuine and caring. The culture maximizes for efficiency: could be interpreted in either direction. The culture strives for transparency and achieves it mostly. Salaries are negotiable and reviewed. No red tapes. Lots of trust in their employees to make decisions.

Cons

Can be a bit vicious with let go's: they only keep high performers. Again, can be interpreted in either direction depending on your personal preferences. They are in the midst of figuring out how to organize their people/hr teams.

Pros

Remote, some coworkers were nice, it WAS diverse.

Cons

Where to start... the organizations leaders do not know how to lead. One minute you'll have fantastic feedback and told you're doing great then the next you'll be let go. I was employed and met expectations the entire employment. Launched multiple large projects and was talking often in my 1:1 about my career path. They ask you to help interview new candidates and then take virtually 0 feedback about your experience with the candidate. Which will lead to you having to teach new employees things they lied and said they did know how to do. What else... oh upper management will just cancel meetings and avoid talking to you - that's how you know your time is coming up. There is almost NO constructive feedback, they wait until you mess up and then use that as reasons to discipline. They say "move fast and make mistakes" but don't actually live up to the motto. I found myself going to work everyday with anxiety not knowing if I was doing enough or not. Management speaks extremely vulgar in meetings and talks distastefully about other employees and firms they work with. When you try to celebrate diversity you'll be met with adversity and told the company has no right to make stances, on basic human rights mind you, and we can celebrate behind closed doors. Wonder why everyone knows each other so well? They all used to be coworkers and it's a big part of the culture. If you're not one of them you're on the outside. also they don't respect your time zone specific working hours. If you've made it this far and still choose to go through with your interview... goodluck lol.
