I worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Give us a lot of autonomy. In respect of the general objective of the year of course.
Big company so a lot of ressources. Leave place for us to make our mark.
    All good ideas are welcome.
In the last years, took a very important and positive turn on health and safety issues.

    Cons

Budget are very tight and not easy to achieve
A lot of pressure around meeting financial numbers.
A lot of hours needs to be invested to get the job done.
Need to be creative to find solutions at low cost to meet objectives.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the talk.
Not the same emphasis is put on the mission and values of the company depending on which department we work for. This creates distortion on the decision process. Increasing the silo effect.

I have been working at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Two great internal benefits- onsite PA and Chaplian

    Cons

Managers often treat employees with disrespect and disregard. Opportunities for promotions are given to those that are chosen based on management personal preferences. Internal jobs are posted but the interview process is a waste of time - because management used favoritism. This is not an organization that recognizes hard work or loyalty but instead nepotism, favoritisms plays a role. Upper management is out of touch and not present which makes the employees feel less than important.

    Advice to Management

Take the purpose statement out of the frame and off the office walls and review it- then commit to living and working with the purpose using the values on it as you guide to treating employees with dignity and respect. Listen to the teams and don’t allow your title to rob you of the humility needed to lead people and to continue the success of the company.
