Pros
Good Salary for someone with No Post Secondary Education. Top Wage AFTER 2 years $36.70 per hour. Secure job with good Pension. After you have built up some Seniority, you can choose the Days off you want, the shift hours you prefer, and the easier Routes.
Cons
Brand new drivers will work Split Shifts which will result in a Long day away from home, unless you live nearby the Depot. Brand new drivers will get the busiest and worst routes (hello Hastings street). You will have to work for YEARS until you can have Weekends off. Dealing with Drunks, Drug Addicts, Crazy & Rude passengers!! Unrealistic Schedules which are sometimes impossible to maintain. On some routes, you may get to the end of the line with only 8 minutes rest( to run to the washroom or eat your peanut butter & jelly sandwich) before you must leave again.

Pros
Alright pay and extended benefits (except sick days). You can choose which days off and time of day you work once you have enough seniority.
Cons
If you take sick days it takes months to get paid. Management will suspend and terminate employees for minor problems. Safety is lip service. This company only cares about public perception. It claims poverty constantly as a way to suppress wages. Bus running times are fantasy numbers. The general public can be rude whenever you're late and it's not your fault. Union is ineffective.
