I have been working at Clearco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've been with the team at Clearbanc for close to 2 years now and it has been an incredible ride to say the least. When I first started, I had a serious case of imposter syndrome - however, literally, every single employee that I've met or have worked with cross functionally will truly go above and beyond to ensure that you are supported in any capacity that is required. Some great things that I always looked for in an organization were the opportunities for growth, to work cross collaboratively, and to learn every day on the position. Thankfully, I can say that in my time here I have had the opportunity to do all of these things, and continue to on a daily basis.

    Cons

It can be an extremely high-pressure role, especially in the sales environment. We are an extremely 'ambitious' team and with that being said, it is critical that you come genuinely motivated each day. In a role that is so demanding, you must take time for yourself throughout the day and the team here does respect everyone's decision to unplug and would never expect anything from anyone after hours. I guess no real cons that I can think of after this word vomit.

I have been working at Clearco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I'm a parent and a member of the tech team in CB and been here for a few months. You "choose your own adventure" in CB which talks about the fact that the company ensures their goals aligns with your professional growth goals to the extent possible. - The company has been very understanding of the challenges that parents are facing during this pandemic time. - We have a great pregnancy/parental leave policy. Last I compared, we are doing better than the top Canadian startups/companies on that front. - Employees are heard! I have seen two great initiatives launched by the executives based on the requests from employees. - There is Miami retreat and looks like one/some of the reviews didn't like that. I'm all for paid trips. Can we have more? :) obviously when pandemic is over.

    Cons

CB is a tech startup so the work would be very dynamic as the priorities for different parts of the business may change more frequently than other companies. You may also end up working a bit longer sometimes or do a quick status check outside of your work hours. To me, this is very normal with startups. If you haven't worked in a similar environment, there might be a bit of adjustment at the beginning. The rewarding part would be the fact that there is a bigger potential to innovate or do things faster.

I have been working at Clearco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Clearbanc is a place where your hard work is rewarded! Things move fast but that's the exciting part. Clearbanc is constantly innovating and has the right people to make things happen. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a ton of amazing individuals and contribute to the huge growth that Clearbanc has experienced. Though it might be different depending on departments, my manager is always super supportive and is a great mentor. She truly cares about my professional and personal goals, and really she believed in me before I did. She works hard to make sure I progress in my role, learn, and develop. I’ve even had the opportunity to lead people, which is something I never thought I’d be doing so early into my career.

    Cons

There can be cons and negative aspects to every company but that is simply not the reality I’ve experienced with Clearbanc. As a company in hyper-growth stages, you sometimes have to work outside of typical working hours. This isn’t necessarily a con if you’re really enjoying what you’re doing but may not be realistic for everyone.

I worked at Clearco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good people that are talented to work with Advancement if you do well, lots of movement within sales

    Cons

Lack of vision - product managers and executives do a poor job of explaining new products to the sales team Huge turnover - I think a high growing firm that wants to stay sustainable should invest in a sustainable corporate culture that will help drive success for the company Succeed or die - if you don't hit your goals you are out! Very tough sales organization to be a part of. There is zero ramp up time - it's go go go from day 1 Expect a very short leash - they don't train you to succeed, they preach getting 1% better everyday, but they won't care about progress if you can't hit your goals Upper management are disconnected from the "ground level" employees. There is zero pulse check - don't think that the fireside chats with Andrew & Michele do anything but be a song and dance to make it seem like the executives are engaged.

I have been working at Clearco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Ample learning opportunities Hyper-growth stage allowing for constant personal and professional growth (love to promote from within) - It really is choose your own adventure. You have to be vocal about what you want to learn and how you want to evolve, managers can't read minds. If you talk about what you want to tackle next, chances are, you'll be able to. Multiple company meetings each week led by the co-founders and other executives; Clearbanc has done a really good job pivoting from in-office to a remote work environment Work hard, play hard Unlimited vacation - please don't ever lose that

    Cons

Hyper-growth meaning it's not a 9-5 job (not a con - but you just have to be ready for that) Benefits could certainly use some work As in all start-ups, things break and the company has to figure out how to fix them (again, not a con - but you just have to be adaptable)

I have been working at Clearco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have been working at Clearbanc for less than a year, but have really enjoyed my time with the company so far. The culture is very welcoming which made joining remotely an easy experience. There are multiple chances to meet new people and get involved in collaborative projects. Every day holds a new and exciting challenge and seeing the impact of my work on the business is a great feeling. Everyone is open to hearing new ideas and good feedback is always present. Even though I have been with the company for a relatively short time, I have grown so much in my role and am extremely excited to see what my future with Clearbanc holds!

    Cons

I haven't had a bad experience working for Clearbanc! The high energy and hard working culture is exactly what I was looking for in my job search.

I have been working at Clearco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I work with a lot of brilliant, ambitious, passionate people. Radical candor - open honest feedback. The company is growing rapidly and while with every fast growing company there are growing pains, the leadership team is making smart decisions and week after week there are tangible improvements in communication, scaling and organization. A company that is constantly iterating and trying to improve things.

    Cons

People are stretched thin - but not because we are stingy on hires, we are trying to hire as quickly as possible. Finding the right person is more important than just hiring anyone to fill gaps. Speed as a core value can be a double edged sword. Sometimes we move too fast. But we're learning to hone our speed and accuracy.

I worked at Clearco full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Clearbanc is full of very bright minds, and energetic people - Solid benefits and salary - Beautiful new office space

    Cons

    - The product is not what it seems. We are told to stay on script for a reason. Many complaints from prospects and customers were around cost of capital, and we were always told to steer clear of APR conversations. You should never steer clear of educating a customer of the cost of the product they are looking to access - Very cliquey, especially within the sales floor - You are strictly measured on sales, they couldn't care less if you are a good person, great team member, or positive contributor. If you don't hit their arbitrary targets, you are gone.
