    Pros

Pays well. It kind of works you to the bone & hammers you with calls in the 24 hour shifts, but there’s plenty of overtime.

    Cons

    Like i said, hammers you

They will promise a lot of things to you, which end up being not true lies.

    Pros

Plenty of OT if you want to work your life away to make a decent salary.

    Cons

Where to begin? Pay is average if not below average. You have to work about 4+ 24 hour shift a week to make that "$100,000 a year" salary. You will spend your entire 24-48 hour shift running calls non stop. On a very rare occasion, you might make it back to your station long enough to take a 27 minute long nap, just to be sent right back on another call. They make all sorts of promised to you that never happen. They say you wont be busy and that you will have time to rest...not true. They say you will make a lot of money here, partly true, but as I said you have to work a lot of OT to even get close to a fat check. They will try to send a BLS truck to an ALS call. The worst part is the managers ask you to take that call even though it is out of your scope of practice. They try to get Paramedics to take critical care calls that should be run by a critical care paramedic. Again, they ask you to take calls out of your scope of practice. There is no true FTO process here. You get hired, go out on ONE FTO shift and they you are released to go work on your own, even if its your first day out of school. A lot of the other paramedics and EMTs that I have seen that work here are lazy, incompetent, ignorant, and think they can do more than what their patch says they can do. Many times, vital signs are not taken. There is no accountability, no protocol test, no true standard of care here. You won't be fired for being complacent or putting a patient in danger...you will be fired if you tell them you need a safety nap when they put you on another call. People have been killed doing this job because they are run non stop for 24 hours or more. If you are so tired and you have to call for a "safety" nap, then you are clocked out, resulting in people NOT calling for a safety nap because they can't afford to lose their pay, so they risk their lives, partners lives and patients lives by not calling for that nap. There have been multiple crashes due to drivers falling asleep at the wheel because they are afraid of retribution and losing pay. Some of those crashes have sadly resulted in crew death and full paralysis. True story, look it up. I'm just scratching the surface with issues about this company. All they care about is getting paid for transports. They don't care about you, your health, your safety, your mental well being, or anything. They care about you running every single call, even if it puts you, your partner, or your patient in danger. If you care about your life and your patch....RUN! I have been in EMS for over 8 years and I have never seen a money making scam of a company as this one.
