I have been working at Cigna full-time

    Pros

Senior leadership is supportive and open to suggestions, ideas and ground level input.

    Cons

Lower level promotions are based on seniority not performance. However, career advancement is based on merit.

    Advice to Management

Remove beaurocratic process and barriers when dealing with salary and rank advancement as well as removing poor performing individuals. It seems impossible for management to fire individuals who are dead weight, causing performing individuals to burn out from carrying dead weight.

I have been working at Cigna full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Cigna culture has changed for the better over the years. I work here knowing the people I work with genuinely care about doing the right thing and as an employee I consistently feel valued.

I’ve had ample opportunity for growth and learning at Cigna and there’s endless opportunity for someone who wants to succeed.

    Cons

Many levels of red tape to go through when trying to impact change, lagging IT systems, and sometimes promotions are given based on seniority rather than output.

    Advice to Management

Continue to show your employees they are valued and do a better job of cutting out dead weight.
