    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Children's Aid full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I have nothing positive to say

    Cons

Lack of management, poor communication, no support, overload of work, team constantly calling out, low pay, lack of interpersonal skills, awful union, facilities in poor conditions

    Advice to Management

Children's Aid is not what it makes itself to be. This company is awful, and it starts at the top. What should be done is remove the head officials of the Childhood Education from the position of power. You are just a statistic working for Children's Aid. Management is quick to fire you and replace you in the blink of an eye. There is no support. Where I was assigned to, both Educational Directors were simply... unqualified for their positions (One director was a business degree major!) and the other hid in her office all day until it was time to leave. The family advocates don't do their jobs and purposefully avoid assisting the teachers. The school facility was run down and comparable to a prison! Paint was chipping from the walls, dust were in the classroom, the playgrounds were covered in trash and left unclean. The custodial staff called out every day and the teachers were left to do their jobs. You'll be stressed out working for this organization. Avoid at all cost. It's clear the higher-ups only care about pocketing what donations they do receive from the public instead of fixing their outdated schools that have safety hazzards.
