I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work felt very productive, the company was constantly upgrading equipment and services (for both customer and company benefit). Severance package was very reasonable/fair.

    Cons

1 year post the merger, upper management decided all positions had to relocate to central location; this decimated the engineering team. Years of experience tossed away. This centralization happened in many departments company-wide, not just in engineering, but I am not familiar with the effects there.

    Cons

Not a lot of growth opportunity in my position-but plenty of opportunity in call center, and other departments for promotion and ways to move forward.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good. Supervisor were very nice. When it was Bright house it was better.

    Cons

Can't take too many days off if you are on FMLA. They will fire you. I was fired one year before my retirement. I was not given a choice of retiring or being fired. I could have been given a retirement package.

    Advice to Management

Take into consideration the illness the employee has. It just may cause them to have short term memory loss when you have to notify to companies when you take a day or an hour.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee feedback before changing things like greetings.
