I have been working at Charles Schwab full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Competitive pay, good benefits, great work-life balance, company has a conscience. I’ve been really impressed with how they handled (and continue to handle) the COVID crisis.

    Cons

They’re very conservative when it comes to risk so contracts can take much longer than they should to negotiate

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Charles Schwab full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good benefits, culture is ok if you're not in an inbound phone role, view of the mountains from the 5th floor!

    Cons

It's all who you know around here and who likes you the most. You won't get promoted unless you schmooze with the right people and they pay MUCH MUCH less than the industry average. Zero training, awful communication. I've never been lied to so many times in such a short period of time with a company. They claim to be supportive of moving between departments, however once you start applying out to other departments your managers hold it against you. Seems to be great in other departments, but stay away from the phone jobs! They have to force people to stay in this department with 12-24 month commitments because turnover is so high.
