I worked at Chapman Black full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Continuous Training and Mentoring from my manager and ChapmanBlack Training Consultants. Exceptional benefits package and great OTE earning potential if targets are met. For reasons of my own, I decided to walk away from Recruitment but this company I would 100% recommend if you know you want a steady career within a Recruitment Company.

    Cons

I feel ChapmanBlack Friday presentation could've been more fun in my time there (they have now sorted this out, they have Friday activities for the two performer's of the week). Activities such as Horse races with the chairs, sing-off, limbo and who can down a beer the fastest.

Hi There, thanks for the positive review and that you enjoyed your time with us. You only put 1 star which doesn't seam to stack up with the review, if you can revisit that would be appreciated. Best Richard Co-Founder

Thank you for the feedback, sounds like there wasn't a fit, we make it very clear what the job requires at the start. There are roles in the business and group that require less hours. We welcome people to make internal moves. Recruitment generally requires longer hours as we speak to candidates after work - we do however offer flexibility if people need to leave early for whatever reason. I wish you all he best in your next role and hope you fin the right ft. Richard Blackburn Co-Founder

I worked at Chapman Black full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Really great incentive events, rewards, fun team and culture. Good training programme when first entering the business.

    Cons

Very male-dominated and focused culture. At times especially as a woman, it was unprofessional and uncomfortable to be apart of. Incentives are usually achieved by the same automotive team and if you're not apart of it you're unlikely to receive the benefits. Hours are VERY long with little flexibility around working from home or even normal 9-5 hours. Clock watching and judgement if you don't abide by the long days.

Thank you for the feedback, we are working hard to diversify the team and we have 2 female MD's out of the 4 key leaders and our talent head is also female and they are in charge of the hiring strategy, we are currently at 70/30 male/female. we have also restructured the business, given more responsibility to more people and this has had a positive impact on culture. All the best with your career Richard Blackburn Co-Founder

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the team and nights out, just to assure you we invest a lot of time and effort in recruiting people then we have a Learning ad Development team which is one of the best in the business. We spend the majority of management and board meetings discussing people and their development. We choose the option of asking someone to leave as the absolute last, however it is fair to say that sometimes this is the best option for bot parties if the training and development is not being responded to and there is little possibility of a turn around - we run quarterly appraisals and performance programs all designed to turn people around who are struggling. I hope this answers your concerns. Best Richard Blackburn Co-Founder
