Leadership at Cardata strikes a balance between active involvement and trust
RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I love that the leadership at Cardata is deeply engaged with their team members, and are continually innovating new ways for us to feel supported and empowered. They provide valuable insight and feedback, and never delay in getting you the tools you need to get the job done, whether it's software, hardware, or additional hands. There is a fantastic balance between this active involvement and a demonstrated level of trust that extends company-wide, which encourages me to take pride in my craft and challenges me to continue to meet my own personal standard. The big push for company culture over the last year has proven to be an important factor in having a successful onboarding, as well as a continued feeling of empowerment and belonging. I am also very glad the office is dog-friendly and as such my colleague occasionally brings in his pug.
Cons
As any company goes through periods of significant growth, there are generally some growing pains that arise in terms of communication between cross-functional teams. We're definitely ironing these out as we grow, but sometimes introducing new systems can be a bit tricky at first and be a cause for error/miscommunication. And, while the train ride to Oakville can be relaxing, the drive is certainly not – looking forward to the potential of the office moving closer to the GTA core!

Pros
Flexibility, open door policy, pay, contribution to ideas and voices heard.
Cons
Can be wearing many hats, asked to jump in outside your comfort zone and busy times of the month 1-10th.

Pros
Great leadership, personable colleagues, good pay & exciting perks! The hybrid working model is wonderful & they provide fantastic tech for your home office.
Cons
The office is a bit far away.

Pros
- Decent pay and benefits; you can afford to live in the GTA on a Cardata salary. - Work/life balance: humane hours, personal time and vacation time. - Startup environment so there is a good chance to advance if you get in now. - Compassionate leaders that count the number of projects you finish, not the number of hours you sit at your desk. - Hybrid work environment that emphasizes community while permitting flexibility. - Collaborative environment that emphasizes cross-functionality and teamwork.
Cons
It's more of a hare than a tortoise environment; expect jam packed workdays and competing deadlines.

Pros
Cardata pretty much checks all the boxes that most professionals look for. Work-Life Balance, supportive teammates, strong Leadership and opportunities plentiful. In regards to marketing, Cardata is really starting to invest in this area, meaning the marketing team is newly formed, with a strong marketing tech stack (HubSpot, Webflow, Zoominfo, heatmapping etc.), so there are a lot of opportunities to make a lot of noise with the challenge of delivering results. Support has been great and willing to invest in this area as necessary!
Cons
With the marketing team newly formed, most things are being built from the ground-up, so there may be some growing pains in terms of integrations and building out a strong marketing program, figuring out what works, what doesn't etc. However this really isn't a con and moreso a unique challenge, compared to joining another company with established marketing departments and historical data to go off of. The team is looking to grow. expand and hire the necessary resources.

Pros
Amazing team environment, attentive and accommodating management, competitive salary
Cons
Not the fault of the company, but due to lockdown the office is scarce. Can't wait to feel the energy when everyone is back in the office!

Pros
The company culture is one of the best you can find. The CEO's and top-level management genuinely care for the workers. Hard work is definitely recognized and often rewarded. Hours of operation are very convenient and salary is more than fair. With an ever-expanding client base, there is a very bright future ahead for CarData Consultants!
Cons
The client base is very large in contrast to the current number of staff, so peak times can be high stress due to very high volumes. Help and support is almost always available though, and CarData continues to expand the team, in order to accommodate the rapidly growing client base. There is definitely room for improvements, but overall the cons are few and far between.
