I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The collegues are great. Really, Capgemini hires intelligent, open, and hard working people. Flexible organisation.

    Cons

It is hard to combine the work at the cliënt with being succesful at Capgemini. You need a lot of luck and spare time. Difficult to make use of the economies of scale.

    Advice to Management

    Talk normal.

    Pros

I advice this company for the good opportunity of growth. The worklife balance is good and this company has given me the opportunity to increase my competencies

    Cons

Unfortunately the salaries are very low if compared with other consulting company. Also the benefits for employee are low.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of independence once on a contract, the company is responsive, and it offers great benefits. In career development there is opportunity for growth, however the company operates in "clicks" if you are not known in one of those clicks, you could easily come and go, and never be noticed.
If you are an independent professional that is used to work in a very solitary and independent environment, this is the type of job you need.

    Cons

Like most entrepreneurial jobs, it's demanding to a fault, however the benefits do not travel down as they would with an owner or partner. Participation in effort is to the max, but it doest commensurate with the participation in earnings. n't hard to develop a "team" feeling because everyone lives and works all over the globe. Personal time often is sacrificed for a sake of a project deadline, and this would be OK in a normal environment, however in Consulting, you are always in a project, so to find that balance between work and having some kind of normalcy is almost impossible.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the Work-Life balance ratio. The newer generations are smarter than we are, and they don't find it appealing working 7 days a week. If we don't retain new talent and continue to position ourselves as Top-Heavy, the model will become unsustainable.
