I have been working at Canadian Western Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A lot of positive feedback and one of the warmest places I’ve worked where it doesn’t seem fake. They focus on staff fulfilment to maximize client satisfaction. That old timey touch that some people find outdated is on my opinion part of the charm. And with that said, a constant strive for innovation and modernization. Optimistic growth and an overall trust that things are moving in the right direction.

    Cons

I will say time has took its toll and they seemed to have been comfortable for a bit. Thus the strive for wanting to advance, although admirable a part of it comes from not making those bold moves in the past. Comfort is another word as the optimistic warmth the company has does create a sense of comfort that I think some people may find unfulfilling as there are times that it becomes you love the people but the work is monotonous and nothing new comes around the corner. At my position there is room for advancement but currently it’s a job is a job kind of mindset.

I worked at Canadian Western Bank full-time

    Pros

Very good service driven front-line staff. Thoughtful and considerate colleagues.

    Cons

Small company that doesn't know what it wants to be or how to do it. Very poor training resources and support. Poor executive leadership that focuses on buzz-words and not how to effectively implement cultural change. Cares little for employee experience only that people comply. Operationally a disaster.

I have been working at Canadian Western Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None, literally none. Join credit unions or Big six banks.

    Cons

Terrible workplace. Lack of diversity and very racist work environment. They do not feature in any of the diversity employers list. One of my immigrant friends received an offer letter but just 2 days before joining was asked not to join without any reason. Terrible people, do not have any work ethics and run the place like they own it. I will recommend job seekers to stay away from this toxic place. Prefer big six banks or even credit unions for that matter.
