    Pros

Great team. Great leadership. Opportunity to grow. No micromanaging.

    Cons

The main con would be the salary. It’s a challenging position and there should be higher pay - but hey, you don’t get into social work for the money.

I have been working at Canadian Mental Health Association

    Pros

Coworkers are amazing and passionate about helping clients. Got to help clients achieve their goals and monitor them helping to keep them out of hospital

    Cons

Pay is not good. Difficult to move into another position as sometimes they have chosen a candidate before the job is even posted. They get away with a lot of things because theyre not unionized. Toxicity from the top down.

I worked at Canadian Mental Health Association full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - staff are very friendly and welcoming - organization benefits are good - flexible time available - meaningful cause

    Cons

    - inefficient middle-management makes decision-making slow, and flat structure makes it hard to move up - unconfident leadership, staff don't feel like they are listened to - office is often empty, people are siloed into individual offices despite having lots of opportunity for common workspace - delays with HR and finance
