I worked at Canada Revenue Agency full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Locations of the TSOs are easy to get to, with plenty of parking spaces. Non-discriminatory hiring practices --- abundant visible minorities; almost 50 - 50 representation between male and female employees. Promotional opportunities are there for those qualified individuals willing to work hard, and put in the necessary effort to learn and excel in their work. Excellent benefits, pay and pensions.

    Cons

A unionized environment. Could be toxic if disputes arise between union stewards and management.

    Advice to Management

Doing a great job and keep on doing it.

    Pros

    -Very good environment

    -Overtime pays nicely
    -Great benefits, even for students

    Cons

-Work is sometimes slow due to following government procedures
-Career build up might take too long depending on the Branch your working in (IT is the slowest growth in BC at least)

A very good place to work but I would appreciate it if we could work more and advance quicker to better positions. Sometimes the amount of work is too low.
