      Pros

      - Get to learn and play with the latest technology. - Friendly co-workers. - Always hiring - Apply here if you are just looking for a temporary position. - Good work experience, you'll learn quickly with hands on approaches.

      Cons

      - Long hours, they don't allow enough breaks. - Lack of incentives for management, yet you are on call in case of emergencies. - Under paid comparing to other companies. - Lack of training provided, yet set expectation high. - Unsupportive upper management, full of lies. - Majority of the Management Team don't care about your well being, they "say" they do, but they actually don't. All they care about is numbers. - Disorganized head office, slow in response time. Majority of the head office staffs are Asian. Speaks broken English. Hard to understand them sometimes. - RMA/Repair turnaround time takes too long. - They say focus on "customers comes first", yet when you honor a warranty claim, RMA department will question you for your action. - Dishonest customers, rude and ignorant. - Keeps on opening new stores, but none of them were well prepared for opening. - Lots of website errors. Lack of attention to detail. - Don't go pouring your heart out, they under evaluate/appreciate employees. - Loads of politics - Upper management tends to jump to conclusions, they don't care to investigate the truth. - Some of the locations are unionlized. - You are nothing but a number to them, they'll get rid of you if your warranty number sucks. Your hard work don't matter to them.

      Pros

If you're into computers and electronics, you'll be surrounded by it every day. The place was okay to work for before changing managers 3 times in 8 months.

      Cons

Wages aren't reflective of the amount of work. Being "Promoted" from Sales, to the merchandiser, then to customer service/technician, that's right. 2 jobs in one! The pay stayed exactly the same. In fact, for the first 4-5 months of being customer service/technician there was more of an opportunity to make money as a sales associate, being that they had incentives for selling warranties. Good luck if you ever need functioning tools to do your job. Need a stick of ram to use for testing purposes on a customer's computer? just go rummaging through the recycling area and hope that there's a suitable match that may or may not work. Sending customer units to our head office repair services. This never really went well. We've had plenty of units come back in WORSE shape then they left in. Issues not being resolved at all. Im pretty sure sometimes they would just ship the unit right back to us without even looking at it. Looking for updates on what work is being done at head office? not happening! they'll just do the work, send it back with no updates to their work order. The return policy. Oh the dreaded return policy. The one that changes every 3 months. either adding or removing rules. or completely changing the whole thing. For a company thats been around since 1991, you'd think they would have their systems together by now. Pricing for repairs. Good luck with getting the same price from 2 stores. heck, even from 2 different technicians in the same store. There is a very loose pricing system. However, if a technician decides to price gouge, it'll happen.

Good company, but warranty targets are a pain.

      Pros

Fantastic work environment, teaches a great deal about tech, troubleshooting, and solutions engineering.

      Cons

Sales and warranty targets push the burden of slow sales weeks/months onto reps instead of head office.

Good place to work if you like technology.

      Pros

If you're willing to put in the effort, there are monthly competitions which have some really good prizes. There's also MSI and Intel's Retail program which provide even more goodies. Lots of incentives if you work for them. Can't speak for other locations, but my co-workers are friendly and have an understanding that we are all in this together. Troubleshooting technical problems for customers and seeing the joy they have when you've made their life a little better through technology. Being in the know of the latest computer electronics and getting to see it before anyone else.

      Cons

Warranty sales get pushed way too hard by Head Office. I understand the reasoning behind it, and I am okay with them wanting higher numbers, however the means in which they're trying to accomplish this encourages their own staff to work against each other. Management at my location tries their best to accommodate your personal needs within the weekly schedule, but at the end of the day it is an entry level retail position and there is only so much magic management can do so the hours do feel exhausting. Entry level job, entry level pay.

-Sometimes you'll get awesome coworkers -Sometimes you'll meet regular customers who become your friends

      Cons

-If you're not Chinese, good luck getting anything you ask for. -Literally everyone at head office is chinese, and the managers will belittle you in chinese to each other (co worker of mine spoke chinese and always told us the stuff the managers would say) -If you don't push warranty they threaten to fire you

      Pros

Working around new tech is nice, you can get some really nice co-workers

      Cons

Head office is stupid, most managers are stupid, customers are stupid. Place would be out of business if it had any real competition.
