Flying the Cessna 172 G1000 Good airspace Good controllers Flying for enough hours can open the door to other opportunities.
Cons
Management seems to have a lot of egotistical employees in power and hold favoritism for certain students and instructors Although airplanes are fairly new; many are always in maintenance and many discrepancies are deferred. Safety wise, it can be better. They’ve had an incident with their aircraft that could’ve potentially have escalated to something far worse. This incident wasn’t reported to the FAA as it should’ve been.

None. This place should not have any accreditation in higher education.
Cons
Too many to list. My only suggestion is that you do NOT attend this place if you want an actual REAL degree. Also, keep in mind this place is family run so there is major nepotism going on. They also have reviews taken off Google.

Part 141,hence, everything is written for you to execute.
Cons
Large fleet with at least 80% of the airplanes down for maintenance. You won’t fly too often this way. A lot of favoritism. Most of the instructors are students (including the assistant chief) that form their own groups. Since resource are most of the time limited, those favorites will get the few resources left. Most likely you will need a second job, because sometimes you won’t get assigned students ( not a favorite) to fly. The communication is non-existent between departments. Starting with the president, managers put their ego first. Hence, everything is being run inefficiently.

Great environment to work at and it felt great being part of something new and amazing.
Cons
I can honestly say there wasn’t any cons of working at CAU. Staff was great and the president Matt is great leader and pioneer.
