    Pros

Good benefits good people good salary. Next to Eaton’s. Strong growth opportunities and budget for additional learning

    Cons

Lots of red tape. Why is there a twenty word minimum? That makes no sense. You’re just forcing me to fill up this empty space with garbage.

    Advice to Management

Nah everything’s pretty good. And again stop requesting this to have a twenty word minimum. I don’t want to write so much.

    Pros

CPPIB offers a fast-paced, challenging environment. The organization is growing, which means exciting projects, change, and the opportunity to contribute to new 'work' that may not have been done before in the organization. Overall the work environment is very positive and supportive.

    Cons

Competing priorities - the organization is growing quickly, which brings with it new challenges and requests. The department at times can struggle with prioritization, or shifting focus too regularly based on business demands.

    Pros

Amazing culture where workplace diversity and equality are not just buzzwords. Seniors are very willing to take time out of their busy schedules to meet with young analysts. Coworkers and seniors are realy interested in helping you develop skills and knowledge, and the firm believes in investing in employees for the long term, which is clearly effective with the average tenure of employees.

    Cons

Large organization where it’s difficult to make deep connections with many people and challenging to make yourself stand out (many people are very smart and ambitious).

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at CPP Investment Board full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great location next to the Eaton Center.
    - Looks good in the resume to impress future employers.

    Cons

    - Worst people environment I have experience in 10 plus years in the field.
    - Extremely toxic office politics with fake smiles (There are other reviewers with the exact same comment).
    - No room for diversity. No room for new ways of thinking. No room to share initiatives. Except for some favored individuals.
    - People wait to have the bonus paid to leave. Everyone is looking for a new job.

    Advice to Management

Investigate and eliminate the groups oppressing others. You hired great people and joined being happy. It has a huge cost to have few people affecting in a negative way the experience of new people. Specially people coming from diverse backgrounds. Train managers to take seriously mental health and complaints.

Bullying can affect the health of people and definitely does not bring productivity. Practice disciplinary actions to people breaking the code of conduct in terms of courtesy and respect to others.
