    bad micromanagement, very stressful environment, no human values. They describe so well the company at the interview and then you find that they don`t have a background to sustain their lies.

    management should try to respect human beings and try to be professionals.

    Pros

    -Good benefits: lots of PTO, insurance, etc.
    -Good start if trying to get into Logistics/Shipping industry
    -People you work with are amazing

    Cons

    -High stress, poor levels of communication, uneven workload distribution
    -Supervisors are often inattentive or simply do not wish to address serious problems
    -Little to no recognition for work
    -Little room to advance

    Advice to Management

    -No sugarcoating here: Grade 6 and Grade 7 morale is abysmal. Everyone wants to leave and some of the depts are like revolving doors with their turnover rates.
    -The most competent employees are leaving CMA in droves because other companies are offering to treat them better.
    -Listen to employees, recognize the work they do, hire more people to alleviate the already overwhelming workloads.

    Pros

    As most people say, the biggest pro is the benefits are amazing and are inexpensive.
    Has a mini cafe (not the best food in the world but it makes due) , a gym area, beautiful building, and the people are friendly.

    Cons

    It's not as diverse as other employers.
    There is so much work that is required of the bottom departments with no recognition really being given. This is why so many people are ready to leave. The morale is really low in the customer service units.

    Advice to Management

    Be more diverse. Show more recognition to the departments that are on the front lines for the company (bookings, customer service)

    Benefits are amazing, room to grow and advance in short periods of time, 3 weeks of intensive training

    Cons

    Not paying enough to do any customer service related job. Managers and supervisors get floated and traded often, building is way too small for the almost 700 employees working there

    Pros

    Awesome benefits incl health,dental,vision,401K,life insurance, PTO, paid holidays
    Great community of people working there!
    A lot of overtime offered

    Cons

    Unfortunately had a lot of lay offs in documentation department while there..
    HOWEVER they did find an alternative position to everyone who wanted to stay
    and the others left with a very nice severance package

    Keep the lines of communication open with employees

    not a lot of opportunities for overtime, salary range is a little low
