RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Nice offices with plenty of space and cafeterias with many options - Developers could choose between office and remote work during and after pandemic - Some locations have private gyms or other perks - Yearly salary bracket updates introduced a year ago - Some of most talented and experienced people are working here that you can learn from - Internal training programs and workshops - Challenging projects where you can prove your skills - Paid overtime (mandated by Polish law)
Cons
- Very high turnover rate after each project that gets worse with each exodus, resulting in understaffed teams, increased juniority of development force, lost knowledge - Low salary tuned towards average Polish income and cost of living, despite very successful sales in the global market - Prevailing crunch culture despite company promises that it would not happen again, again - During last project the whole development team was banned from taking any vacations for full year before release - Yearly bonus system based on secret equation known only to upper management which is designed to put most of the money in hands of people running the company - Additional bonus/motivational systems in form of stock shares or private pension funds are available only for selected few - Incompetence in management/production - Often non-technical people are the ones that have most say and power when it comes to technical decisions, you are there to make things work regardless of your and your team's consensus - Company is unwilling to offer types of contract that would be more beneficial for an employee but more costly in terms of taxes for the company, as it would also lower advertised salary - You are not taken seriously when trying to renegotiate your salary or conditions unless you declare your willingness to resign because of it, only then you start being listened to and given options - Cases of mobbing that were for a long time swept under the rug - Company is no longer as prestigious to work with as it used to be due to recent failures
