I have been working at British Heart Foundation full-time

    Pros

Good work and life balance, friendly atmosphere. Company really values employees opinions and try to make the office a great place to work. Flexible working hours and working from home offered.

    Cons

As in any big organization, it's often difficult to get things done as it has to go through many people to get anything approved. Often there are no strict deadlines which makes planning difficult.

    Advice to Management

Do a review of how the work could be optimized using available resources instead of increasing headcount. Bring the departments closer together in working to increase productivity of everybody.

    Pros

Well structured company making huge moves forward in retail. Lots of interesting stuff coming up in 2018. Spending money to make money.

    Cons

Given completely different info, feedback and instruction from my line manager and training manager. Each making me look bad in front of the other one. Was told to be more confident and less confident. Was told to ask lots of questions then told off for questioning tue work of the charity. Walked on egg shells for a week before quitting as I wont work well under a manager im terrified of. Line manager threatened to take my car keys off me in progress meeting when I hadn't committed gross misconduct. Called me girl and young lady. I'm nearly 30. Despite the company stating it wants young fresh people working for it.

    Advice to Management

Communication to shop training managers of what is expected of them when they're training field management.
