    Pros

    - Above average pay
    - Good technology and systems
    - Learn a lot
    - Potential to move into many roles when you are good
    - Corporate parties with large budgets

    Cons

    - Constant downsizing
    - Outsourcing
    - Weak corp culture
    - Being associated to the tobacco industry

    Advice to Management

    - Take a step back and look at what downsizing and outsourcing has done to the company. Things aren't working well at BAT Canada anymore.

I have been working at British American Tobacco full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great defined contribution pension plan, amounts are matched and an additional 6% is provided,

    Cons

Management team is under high amounts of pressure to deliver on targets, which is trickled down to the sales team. This creates a culture of doing what needs to be done to paint a pretty picture.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the sales force, we are out in the field and know what would help perception amongst clients.

I worked at British American Tobacco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Down to earth staff in billing department

-I remember my supervisor in the Reporting Electronic Settlement team when I worked there between 2014-2015. He was a really the best I have ever met.

He was intelligent and extremely talent, yet he was down to earth and genuinely cared for helping me out. I have nothing but admiration and respect for this man. I was lucky enough to work for him and looking back, he is entirely the reason that my experience at the company was positive(of course I also enjoyed working and joking with my teammates too, I remember them fondly).

If I could work for a better pay and conditions but with the same individuals, then I would have stayed as long as I could.

    Cons

-Company contracts every position to avoid paying and treating all workers fairly. As a contractor, it doesn't matter how long you work there. You are treated like you are "the employees that we don't really want".

    Advice to Management

Hire everyone that's working there over a year to be permanent. Don't contract all your positions just to be cheap with your employees. Employee loyalty will actually create value that you are losing by trying to cut corners by treating an entire floor as second class individuals.

    Cons

No work life balance Company does not care about you. You will be working 6 days a week 12 hours a day. Sales targets are unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

Time to care about employees and stop treating them like slaves. President told employees in sales meeting. Your day does not end until you hit your sales targets. Your week does not end until your targets are met
