    Pros

    Being an articling student (and junior) can be rough, but BLG does what they can to make it better! Lots of opportunities to work with incredible professionals across practice groups.

    Cons

    Things can get intense and stressful like at any big firm (but at least BLG does what it can to mitigate).

    Somewhat flexible with hours. Monthly socials. Decent pay.

    Cons

    People are cutthroat and will steal your job. Some agents/lawyers do not communicate properly with staff. Lots of gossip. No teamwork. HR is a joke.

    Excellent training opportunities; values personal initiative and allows flexibility to craft your own path

    Cons

    Poor communication and tense work environment in certain groups; lack of genuine appreciation for individual contribution; no focus on team building; exclusive client focus makes people forget that in order to deliver great results for the clients, what is needed is a cohesive and effective team that is supportive, inclusive and appreciative of its members' efforts.
