I have been working at Booz Allen Hamilton full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are easy to work with. Positive vibe and company culture. Great benefits and PTO. Annual merit raises. They really take care of their employees. Can move around to different contracts if you want.

    Cons

Because of the size of the company, can get easily lost in the sea of employees. Too many levels of management. Hard to get a promotion if you are not heard or seen. They tend to hire and front load employees before they win contracts, so new hires could be on the bench for weeks or months.

I have been working at Booz Allen Hamilton full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    1. Great benefits! 2. Great people to work with 3. Great ethics 4. Allowed to be the best you can be Note: I read reviews about how stuffy and old fashioned this company in reviews. Please be advised that when Horacio D. Rozanski took over as CEO this company has a new image. I offer that the Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. of today is leaner, fun, and ethically centered. So please look for reviews of current employees not those of even five years ago as again things have changed!

    Cons

Honestly, no issues yet. I have been told many things and not the company has to put actions to words especially when describing support to employees.

I worked at Booz Allen Hamilton full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great core values; smart employees; nice perks (Holiday party; Kings Dominion Day take over; great benefits; fair pay).

    Cons

Your success is made or broken on your primary manager vs your work; anyone with less than 10-15 years there is pushed down from driving needed changes; frequent promotion of staff that lack the expertise to be promoted due to strong long-term relationships and advocates pushing their 'people' through; most senior partners have little to no experience outside of Booz Allen and minimize experienced outside leaders voices to protect the old boy network at the top of the firm.
