I have been working at BlackBerry full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Extremely innovative company, fantastic technology.

    Cons

People management needs work; not competitive with other hi-tech companies. Not sure they have the right people management formula yet.

    Advice to Management

Engage a consultancy specializing in people-management; recognize top-talent and achievements often! Not everything that is valuable can be measured in "hard numbers" each quarter; sales and pipeline growth are lagging indicators - spend more time measuring how value is created. Spend more time focusing on improving employee morale. Lastly, spend on marketing; it's not the job of sales to create "awareness". The best achievements are being publicized which makes BlackBerry a "best kept secret".

Invest in them.
