I worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Excellent clinical staff. Potential for growth. Interested in innovation.

    Cons

Unclear mandate from upper management. Besides "more" (more money, more patients), what is the goal of the medical center? What does "human first" actually mean aside from a clever marketing slogan? Who is the BI in BI Lahey Health? Interest in innovation is not the same as supporting the process of innovation.

I have been working at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to work - challenged but rewarding culture; good benefits and pay; role allows for a great work life balance; potential merger could lead to awesome career growth. There are several long term employees here that show the great longevity the hospital can provide. Highly recommend!

    Cons

Parking/commuting can expensive in the area; however this is subsidized by the hospital to help alleviate these costs. Some areas of the hospital need improvement from a facilities standpoint; however this has been an area of focus and improve mrs have been made.

    Cons

There has been a lot of restructuring lately. This is making people feel unsettled and there are lots of people looking for jobs.
