I worked at Betfred for more than a year

    Pros

Graduate calibre staff can progress quickly due to poor quality of 95% of staff. Good place to work if you want to do the minimum and collect a poor salary (providing you aren't randomly dismissed for daring to question the status quo)

    Cons

Digital arm of the business run by retail dinosaurs, totally out of touch with modern practices and how to run a digital online gambling company. Total followers rather than trend setters or market challengers, but even following becomes difficult with the lack of investment in resource, infrastructure, and insistence on unnecessary bottlenecks. Untouchable dinosaurs in senior management hindering progress of company. Treatment of staff appalling, office like a casino with no windows or natural light, dismissals occur with no communication or explanation, staff just fall through the trap door. No sick pay, annual bonus is slashed if daring to take a day off for illness, no social scene for staff Pay is the very bottom of industry standard. Location of office, low pay, and lack of dilligence means quality of staff on the whole is very poor. Uninspiring environment for young, hungry, graduate calibre people. Lack of investment in staff means senior staff leave/are dismissed and are not replaced. Workforce getting thinner but management demands do not reflect. Conflicts of interest in the board make life incredibly difficult for employees to do the best for Betfred as board-invested third parties must be satiated by Betfred business.

I worked at Betfred for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nice customers/colleagues. Some very memorable moments and stories told by customers.

    Cons

Single manning, 14 hour shifts (by your self at times no break) low pay, low support, very strict protocalls which will end you up in the toilet for a little thing no matter how long you have worked there. Shop MUST be open, for the machines, no racing/football? The machines make the money, why would the staffs personal lives get in the way of that. With good customers comes an overwhelming amount of bad/smelly customers.

I worked at Betfred part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Colleagues are the only positive thing I can think of. I can’t think of more to add to male up the 20 word minimum!

    Cons

Low pay, terrible hours, horrible and abusive customers, under staffed, under appreciated. Controlling management and Fred’s stupid face everywhere with that stupid smirk on his face that says ‘I really don’t care for my employees as long as I can keep exploiting the public to bring in the cash.’ Funny thing. Sometimes they force you to refuse to pay people out when they win large amounts. The whole place is built to scam people.

I have been working at Betfred

    Pros

A job. Most of the customers were nice. Playing demo on machines. Some of my colleagues.

    Cons

Low pay. Extremely high turn over of staff. Very cliche company. Not allowed to have any time off sick at all otherwise deemed an unacceptable level of attendance, even one day!!! Management neither listen or care about your opinions. Very unfair company. Forever understaffed. Wonder why?
