Pros

I cannot speak highly enough about working at Bain. Pretty much every week something happens that makes me proud and excited to work with my colleagues. I don't have any other friends who speak so highly about the place they work - and certainly no one who has been there over 10 years!

Cons

Sometimes there is day to day lack of flexibility being in client services, but I have found that the long term flexibility in this job more than makes up for it.

I was able to truly define my own journey during my time at Bain. There is a clear career trajectory in place for consultants, but there is so much flexibility to define your own journey and figure out what you need at different points in time in your life. Incredible mentorship and support at Bain that is unparalleled. I can have such honest and authentic conversations about tough decisions Enjoy going to work each and every day. I love the people I work with and the energy they bring to the job.

Client services can be tough and demanding; however, we are very proactive about empowering people to make decisions that drive balance.

Amazing learning opportunities across different industries / strategy problems, fantastic people. They really do care about making long-term

Often spikey hours and your experience can vary based on manager / supervisor (though, these are both the nature of project-based client services work)

Get to work on the toughest challenges, have incredibly impact, learn a ton and do it all with some of the most incredible people I know.

Incredible learning opportunities paired with non-stop coaching & mentorship. Everyone at the firm is going to push you until you're uncomfortable, and then some, but will be right behind you every step of the way.

Client services are demanding in general, and Bain is no exception. The travel and hours can be draining.
