    Pros

Warm and welcoming culture, having the space to learn (and make mistakes), personalized career path and true smart, fun and kind colleagues.

    Cons

Working late hours sometimes, doing many analysis as we are very data driven which can take some frustrations when data of clients are super difficult and incorrect / incomplete

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The employees and teams at Bain are by far the best part of this job. Everyone is driven, fun to work with, and incredibly smart. You are able to learn from your peers everyday, and I am constantly inspired by my mentors. The culture at Bain is absolutely unmatched!

    Cons

Work life balance can always be tough in a demanding job . However, I feel that Bain leadership is always striving for better sustainability, and tries to minimize travel to the client site whenever possible.

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time

    Pros

The culture is fantastic and the company really invests in building and maintaining a great company spirit. This ranges from global events like the Bain World Cup, or opportunities to share anonymous feedback to management on a weekly basis.

The work is interesting and varied, you'll learn quickly and get exposure to several industries and capabilities.

The people are great and it is a very collaborative and friendly working environment.

    Cons

Work life balance is not great, but given the industry it is really well managed, for example teams will usually try to accommodate personal plans and there is no expectation to work weekends (although inevitably people sometimes do).

Gender balance is bad at the senior levels.

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

In my opinion, Bain & Company is a great place to start your career on a number of levels. The opportunities of working with top-notch clients and the ability to make an impact on their organisations is an incredible start to your professional career. On top of this, in my experience, the company genuinely cares about the development of its employees and creates a supportive environment with regular coaching and mentoring interactions. On a personal level, the people you work with are likeminded, fun people to work with which makes it a great environment to spend time in!

    Cons

Of course, there will be moments when it will not be your dream job. For me personally this is when the hours are sometimes long and you feel not a lot of personal progression. But again, this specific situation is when the supportive culture provides you with a network within the organization to fall back on and bounce back stronger.

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Variety of cases, exposure to different industries and functional areas, different work, cohesive teams, mentorship, global network, fun

    Cons

Sometimes very stressful; long hours; multiple iterations of the same analyses or presentations are tedious; not enough support from graphics/analytics/etc. on cases

    Advice to Management

Invest in support staff; more centralized planning or organization for training, major events, diversity & affinity groups

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time

    Pros

This job will give you the best people to work with, and some of the coolest problems to work on. I don't think there is a better place to work after school. There's a culture and a spirit here -- created both organically and systematically -- that drive a supportive, mentorship-driven, and feedback-based culture that permeates everything we do. You'll be given opportunities to step up and act beyond your years, and you'll learn as much, as quickly, here at Bain as just about any other job out there. But you never be alone as you do it, because there will be a team and network to support you the whole way through.

    Cons

The long hours and travel can be frustrating and exhausting. The learning curve is real, and it's real steep. When you feel like you've half-mastered something, there is another task ahead of you, and it can be hard to keep your head up unless you're resilient and determined to keep improving.
