    Pros

Really great people. I always feel inspired at Bain and get great proffessional development opportunities. We also get a lot of responsibility

    Cons

Work life balance can be an issue. Hard to know how tough a given week will be in advance so making social plan can be challenging.

    Advice to Management

Management has managed downturn really well. I would make a push to enter government space give their greater involvement in corporate america.

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love how Bain invests in you as a professional. When you join company you are paired up with a sponsor who focuses on your professional development, and who has been in your shoes before. You are also paired with colleagues and mentors who will guide you along the path, and help you with everything you need. Everyone I know at the company would be willing to sacrifice some of their time to answer a question, go to lunch, or help with a project.

    Cons

I've had colleagues who have been on clients for longer than they would have liked.

I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Almost all the work I do is obviously important to the Managers and Partners I work with at Bain, and our clients
-The teams I've been on have created positive change, and the work I've done was important to the team's overall effort, even when I was the most junior person on the team
    - The senior folks authentically care about me and my peers. There are a half a dozen people in particular that I've met through my work on different case teams that I could go to for anything - a chat about big picture career stuff, trouble with a supervisor or supervisee, just to catch up.
-There's a lot of formal training, and it's not boring. Most of it has actually made me better at my job at Bain, but it's pretty obvious how it would be helpful to me if I were working somewhere else to (analytics, effective communication in different contexts, how to tackle an ambiguous problem in a structure way, planning work, managing upward, motivating and teaching people that report to you, etc.)
    - Compensation and exit opportunities are great

    Cons

It's client services. Sometimes I work pretty late.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.
