I have been working at Bacardi full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great people to work with. Great products. Some nice perks comes with the job. Small company feel with the benefit of being a global entity.

    Cons

Upper management is confused and directionless. They change the direction every other year. There is a new 'system' every couple of years. The culture is struggling to stay fun while being over burdened in a flat structure.

I worked at Bacardi full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People are passionate and hard working - this can be very inspiring, and make you feel like your work really makes a difference. The company makes a conscious effort to treat you very well in terms of support and benefits. The company and brands have a lot of interesting history, with trips to sites to build your understanding. There is also a free on site bar and lots of free meals. There are tons of career opportunities if you are prepared to move abroad - something they actively encourage.

    Cons

If you work in Finance you are very much considered a support function - investment in this function is relatively low compared to say Marketing. This leads to an understaffed finance dept, of course meaning longer hours are expected from yourself. Compounding this issue is terrible Finance systems and an incompetent IT and corporate HQ function. The end result is that you spend a huge amount of time fixing errors and dealing with incompetence rather than doing value added work in Finance.
