I have been working at BAT full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Lots of opportunities to grow within the company, both upwards & internationally - Great modern office environment, with a "cafe" with a barista & a gym with free workout classes - You'll constantly be challenged, as the company puts a huge focus on learning and thus will give you tasks or assign you to roles in order to allow you to grow - Compensation is unbeatable (pay, bonus, other benefits) - Overall, the people are great and you'll have the opportunity to connect with them not only in your day-to-day but also through super fun workplace events & get-togethers

    Cons

You are expected to work hard and will have to put in long hours on a regular basis, so if you're looking for an easy, simple 9-5 job this isn't for you!

    Pros

Descent pay and benefits including a company vehicle Lots of responsibility from day one Good learning opportunity for recent graduates Most coworkers are friendly and willing to help each other out.

    Cons

NO work life balance, Expected to be available all the time, including weekends, Long hours driving and working alone, Expected to do admin at home after working a long day, Very little training or mentoring, Leadership through fear, sarcasm and ridicule, It's a dying industry, Poor to no career advancement, Soul crushing culture for trade account marketing managers, Everything you do is tracked, compared and ranked. The ONLY thing that matters is meeting your targets.

I worked at BAT full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

BAT is a very structured company. Even though the industry is highly regulated they have a solid business and that gives you stability. They are very good at training new resources and supporting their top talent.

    Cons

Long hours and a lot of responsibility that not necessarily was reflected on the monthly pay even though it did make me learn a lot and become a more round professional.
